Recent floods have caused extensive damage throughout the Balkan region in southeast Europe. Bosnia has been among the hardest hit countries and the destruction has been compared to that caused by the war that ravaged the country in the early nineties (pictured above) while employees at a power plant in Serbia were forced to work three straight days almost nonstop as relief teams were unable to reach the facility.
