The Blank Park Zoo has had a hand in aiding endangered species since 1997. The zoo is now gaining global attention as it hosts a conference that will gather conservation representatives from all over the world.
From July 8- 12, the conference will be aimed at zoo and aquarium workers and nonprofit representatives, but will also open to the public. The sessions cost $265 for the entire conference, or $75 for a single day.
Presentations will cover a variety of issues, and will also feature work of a few Iowans.
