After the U.S. Geological Survey National Streamflow Information Program (NSIP) suffered budget cuts, three Iowa streamgages were to be shut down. However, after funding was provided by a new partner, two will continue to function.

Streamgages in Finchford and Humboldt will continue data collection, while one in Bedford will be terminated unless further funding can be obtained.

The streamgages are used to collect data vital to flood prediction, making their continued operation extremely important at this time.
