
Tanker cars, belonging to the Canadian Pacific Railway, derailed late Tuesday night near Charles City, Iowa due to flooding and a washed-out rail line.
Initial reports claimed that no tankers were leaking, but the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) later reported that one of the ethanol cars had been punctured.
Oxygen levels in the stream as well as air quality are being measured to determine the environmental impact of the leaked ethanol.
