This summer, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will hold workshops across the state for Iowans who would like to learn how to measure the quality of their local waters – an important skill for those concerned about Iowa’s highly polluted lakes, rivers and streams

The eight-hour workshops will include classroom instruction and hands-on training as participants learn how to measure pollutant levels in water.

Volunteers who complete the workshop will be able to collect water monitoring data, which they can then submit to an online database via the IOWATER website.
