
How does climate change impact Iowa? To find out, read this new report to the governor compiled by the Iowa Climate Change Impacts Committee – a section of Climate Change Advisory Council.
Topics in the report include: the impact of climate change on agriculture, flora and fauna, public health, economy, infrastructure and emergency services. And it includes a list of policy recommendations to address the consequences of climate change.
For more information, tune in to Iowa Public Radio tomorrow at noon. The Exchange, hosted by Ben Kieffer will devote its hour to discussing the report. Guests will include Jerry Schnoor, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Iowa, Gene Takle, Director of the Climate Science Program at Iowa State University and Biology Professor Laura Jackson from the University of Northern Iowa.
