President Obama critiqued Mitt Romney’s stance on wind energy Tuesday during a stop in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Iowa is a national leader in wind energy production, and the Obama administration seeks to extend tax breaks they say lead to the industry’s success. Romney opposes the breaks.
“Unlike my opponent, I want to stop giving $4 billion in taxpayer subsidies each year to big oil companies that have rarely been more profitable, and keep investing in homegrown energy sources like wind that have never been more promising,” Obama said.
